Celebrate Philanthropy Week with us by showing your Georgia State University school spirit and Panther Pride! We’ll be honoring philanthropy at Georgia State and around the world November 11-14, recognizing philanthropic service through both financial support and volunteerism. Join us and participate in our special festivities!
Monday: Awareness Day
Do you know how philanthropy impacts students? Nine out of every ten Georgia State students qualify for some kind of financial aid – and that’s just the start. Check out our Facebook and Twitter pages for more:
Tuesday: Volunteer Day
Have you changed someone’s life through volunteer service? We want to hear your story! Share your stories and upload your pictures on our social media pages and include the hashtag #GSUGives.
Wednesday: Appreciation Day
What are you thankful for at Georgia State? Whether it’s a favorite hangout spot, a study-abroad opportunity or even an inspiring professor, a donor helped make it happen. So we’re inviting all current Georgia State students to join us in Unity Plaza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to thank a donor! You can write a thank-you postcard or record a testimonial to go in our donor video. We will have refreshments, music and tons of prizes!
We also want to hear what you’re thankful for on campus. Upload pictures of your favorite things to our social media pages with the hashtag #GSUGives.
Thursday: Online Giving Day Make a Gift
Georgia State is challenging all of our students, alumni, friends, faculty and staff to set a record number of donations on Online Giving Day. You don’t have to be a millionaire — no matter the size of your gift, your participation could double the impact for Georgia State.
